Fits to Most Gutter Machines

The station is very adaptable and one customer chose to mount it to the floor of their setup instead of to the gutter machine frame. As long as the gutter runs out to land with its back against the saw fence and the bottom just a hair above the saw surface, it will work perfectly.

After presenting our miter station design and mounting method to seasoned gutter installers, they unanimously confirmed their belief that it would be compatible with the gutter machines they have encountered. This affirmation came after observing the miter station attached to a New Tech 5/6 combo machine, while they were operating KWM machines themselves. Their direct experience and assessment provide strong validation of the versatility and compatibility of our miter station across various gutter machine models.

All Miter Saws are Dangerous

The safety of our miter saw station is of utmost importance to us. Similar to any miter saw, our product operates with standard safety precautions in mind. However, there are unique considerations when cutting aluminum gutters with a special blade.

One potential safety concern arises from the nature of the material being cut, as the gutter's shape can cause the blade to pull it towards the saw. To mitigate this risk, some professionals use a piece of wood closely shaped to the gutter with a handle on top. This allows them to hold the front of the gutter against the wood while simultaneously pressing down on the block handle, all with the same hand.

While this technique requires attentiveness and precision, it effectively minimizes the risk of injury. Although accidents can occur if proper precautions are not followed, we are proud to report that we have not received any reports of injuries associated with the use of our miter saw station.

Installation

Installation Time: approximately 2 hours

In summary, the installation process involves removing the guillotine - if you have one - drilling two holes in the lower front part of your machine's frame, bolting the miter station securely in place, and aligning it with the gutter exit while adjusting the bolts for levelness.

To begin, ensure that your gutter machine is mounted at least 2-1/2 inches off the floor and set back on a block about 3 inches. Then, position the miter station on sawhorses at the end of your machine, aligned to receive the gutter as it exits. Slide the station toward the gutter machine until the mounting plates make contact, ensuring proper alignment with the gutter exit. Aim to keep the mounting plates as close to the station arms as possible to maintain stability. If necessary, consider using a stronger 5/8 hinge bar for optimal support.

Next, mark the center of the hole on your frame and make a second mark exactly 1 inch up from the board. Use the provided drill bits, starting with the smallest and working up to the largest, to drill holes through the frame of your machine. Applying WD40 to cool and lubricate the drill bits can facilitate smoother drilling.

Finally, detailed instructions with accompanying pictures will be provided to guide you through the installation process. Additionally, an instructional video will soon be available for further assistance.
